Kevin brings nearly 20 years of senior leadership ministry experience to the team at Newbreak Church in San Diego, CA, where he serves as a Campus Pastor. Kevin joined Newbreak from Stevens Creek Church in Augusta, GA where he served as Executive Pastor for 10 years. He was part of growing Stevens Creek from 700 to upwards of 2,500 in attendance.
Kevin's leadership specializes in creating dynamic teams, simple yet effective structures, leadership development, healthy culture and a life-giving model of church that connects with people who think church is irrelevant. Plus, Kevin is a gifted large-group communicator, speaking to upwards of 2,000 people each weekend.
Beyond working in the local church, Kevin is also a gifted writer and leadership coach, which paved the way for him founding LeadBravely.org. This platform serves as a hub for practical leadership insights designed to help you lead better today and prepare for the future. Speaking to ministry, non-profit and business leaders alike, he offers tools to expand your influence so you can do what you're gifted to do. Through LeadBravely.org Kevin has personally coached leaders at companies such as Mathnasium and Chick-fil-A.
Kevin also does ministry specific coaching with Courage To Lead, a leadership development network created to help pastors overcome the things that keep them awake at night.
Kevin lives with his wife, Melissa; two daughters, Shelby and Sydney; and puppy, Aspen, in San Diego, CA. He enjoys hiking, working out and surfing the chilly waters around the coast of California.
